How Bid Bharat collects, uses, stores and protects the information you share while searching government tenders, setting alerts and contacting us.
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Bid Bharat ("we", "us", "our") operates the Bid Bharat tender aggregation platform and the KVAL bid-intelligence service. This policy explains what data we process, why we process it, and the choices you have.
Bid Bharat aggregates publicly available government tender data. We are not a government body and are not affiliated with any procurement portal.
Tender browsing. Searching, filtering and exporting tenders does not require an account or any personal information.
Contact and enquiry forms. When you use the contact form or the KVAL early-access survey, we collect the details you submit — such as your name, work email, organisation, sector and your written responses.
Tender alerts. If you subscribe to email alerts, we collect your email address and the tender filters/states you select.
Technical data. Our servers automatically record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used only to protect the service against abuse and to keep it reliable.
We use the information you provide solely for:
We do not perform assessments or analysis on your survey answers, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
Contact-form submissions and survey responses are stored on the local Bid Bharat system on which the service runs. Tender and alert data used to deliver the free service is held in the same environment, protected by restricted access.
The optional KVAL service is designed as an offline, on-device deployment where your tender documents and business details are analysed locally and are not uploaded to external servers.
We use a small, strictly functional cookie for security (CSRF token) and short-lived session coherence. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
We do not share your personal information with third parties except where required by law, or with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example, sending alert emails) and who are bound to protect your data.
The public tunnel linking your local deployment to the internet is provided by Cloudflare. Standard connection metadata handled by such providers is governed by their own policies.
Contact and survey submissions are retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and to operate the early-access programme (and in any case no longer than 365 days from submission, after which they are automatically purged). Alert subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Scraped tender records are kept for up to 30 days after expiry (sync_logs) and tenders are archived as EXPIRED. You may request deletion of your data at any time using the contact details below.
KVAL survey data and contact enquiries are held in the local SQLite store (data/tenderhub.db) with restricted file permissions and are included in the daily encrypted backup. Deletion requests are honoured within 7 working days.
Subject to applicable law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where it applies), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected] or use the details on our Grievance & Compliance page.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including rate limiting, CSRF protection, restricted API access and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Bid Bharat is a business service and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify you. Please review this page periodically.
